The MYWBD Summer 2009 Christian Song Festival that was held on July 24-25&26 had been a great success.

This was the Association's second such festival; were a number of highly talented and gifted singers participated in this event paying tribute and praising the Lord with their heavenly voices.


July 24th, the first day of the Festival; six members of The Nehmeh family filled the air at the St Joseph Capuchin School in Batroun with a collection of hymns and an assortment of traditional and religious Lebanese songs.

Sealing that night's exceptional performance was the International opera singer Ms. Tania Kassis with a collection of modernized amazing Hymns.


The second day's participants were Ms Carla Ramia and her father Mr. Micheal Ramia with a collection of  well  known religious songs and hymns few of which were written and composed by Mr. Ramia  himself.


They were then followed by the Alkhafi Monastery Group led by Ms May Makhoul, who after sharing her testimony with the audience, sang a couple of hymns of her own composition and lyric, accompanied by members of the Al-Khafi Monastery.


The last performers for that evening were the eight members of the Revelation Band whose inspirational chanting moved the audience who joined in with the Band in many of their hymns.


The highlight of the closing day of this Festival was the presence of three very distinguished singers, Ms. Paula Hitti, Ms. Nabiha Yazbec and Mr. Nicola Al-Ousta. Where after their individual performances;


Where after their individual performances; the three well-known participants; joined in for a final, awe-inspiring and remarkable hymn; which was preceded by the testimony of faith of Mr. Hussein Jaber, one of the founders of "The Children of Mary, Queen of Peace Association", an association for all religious sects without discrimination.

The support for the MYWBD Association was not only visible by the large number of attendees in the festival, but in the sale of its hand made rosaries and crafts in support of the Association's charity deeds.


In closing of this year's festival, the draw for the Tombola Prize took place, and the name of the winner of the round trip ticket to Medjugorje was announced.


In addition to the appreciation mementoes that were presented to the participants, The Association also presented similar tokens to the sponsors of this Festival:

General Manager of Hanoush Conceptions.  

As well as the Fathers of the  St Joseph Capuchin College, Media Figure Mr. Elie Hawshan and the Tele Lumiere T.V. station for its complete coverage of this event.


As a personal gesture "The Knights of Our Lady of Feghal" presented Miss Rosine Saab with a bouquet of Roses as in appreciation for her dedication, hard work and love.
